Bootleg Beatles
7 September 2008
It’s 35 years since The Beatles played live in the UK for the last time, and over 20 years since the original Bootleg Beatles met up to play the roles of John, Paul, George and Ringo in the stage musical Beatlemania, and went on to tour the globe as the world’s first and most successful ‘tribute’ act.
Since becoming regulars on the festival circuit, The Bootlegs have played Wembley with Rod Stewart and Elton John, supported Oasis at Knebworth, shared the bill with David Bowie and Iggy Pop and filled Tokyo's Budokan Hall in their own right.
"The original and most proficient of covers bands" (Time Out)
